Phonics Check app for iPhone and iPad

The Year 1 Phonics Checker replicates the UK Governments Year 1 Phonics Screening Check that all 6 year old children in England will need to take from June 2012. The app follows exactly the same rules as the UK Government test and will give a very good assessment of how a child will do in the actual check.
The app includes both a test that you can run (as many times as you like) and also a practice pad where children can try out their phonic skills on thousands of real and nonsense words.
This App runs on iPhone and iPad and can be used by both parents and teachers to monitor a childs phonic ability prior to taking the test. It gives a very good indicator of the likely outcome during the actual Government check.
